September

It is already the 27th of September and I'm way behind on this months bloggerings....

let me give you a quick recap:

September 1-10th we finally finished the house and were moved back in ! Praise the Lord!
September10th-13th- I had to travel to Hong Kong for a visa run and while I was gone there was another Flood warning. Which means prepare for the worst. Dwayne was the one preparing for this one and so he tried to seal every place where water might come in. Thank goodness there was no flooding in our area but that still meant moving furniture back and unsealing the doors and some of the windows.
September 14-18th- September 16th was Justin's birthday but we celebrated a day early because Dwayne would be traveling to the Mainland for some work related stuff. Justin had a great birthday and was so happy to be 17 years old. :) I know- it is hard to believe he is that old.
September 19-25th Flood #3- it wasn't but one short week that we had nothing really happen and then the warning came out again! this time, they expected us to get flooded. So, I was left to prepare. The kids were out of school for 2 days because of the flooding at the school which helped me because they could help move furniture and sand bags. The flood did hit and we did get lots of water! But Thank goodness none breached our barriers and the house stayed dry. It took us most of the weekend to get things back to normal.

Yesterday the 26th - I received yet another warning... the worst flood was about to hit us. They put out warnings to everyone that started on Sunday and told everyone to be ready by Wednesday the 28th. Today is the 27th and I'm waiting until the kids get out of school to actually move furniture. We will be ready by 7pm and will wait it out until just before our walls are breached. Then we will evacuate out and go to a hotel.
