Christmas and the New Year

We could not believe how fast December came and went. It is already Jan. 2006 . WOW! WE hope you had a wonderful christmas and a happy start to the first of this New Year!

Our family was finally all together after being apart for months. Josh our oldest who attends Liberty University arrived home on the 18th of December. It was so great to see him at the airport and to hear all the amazing stories from his first semester of school. This was the longest stretch of time(5 months)we have gone without seeing him and it was really hard at times. Thank goodness for phone calls and e'mail!

We also had a dear friend fly in from India to spend the holidays with us, miss E.. She worked with us in China and is now working in India. It was great to see her and to hear all the wonderful things that are happening in India.

We had some fun times and enjoyed just relaxing and eating. I didn't cook as much this year because I was just too tired most of the time but we didn't do without. I fixed my homemade eggnog and had lots of cookies. We ate well on Christmas day and enjoyed some wonderful pies that Kayla made.

Overall it was a wonderful time and it was so great to celebrate with friends and family!

Here are some pictures from the big day. I do apologize usually we take alot more but we only had a few this year.

*** just so you know what you are looking at: there are 3 pictures: one of our dog receivng her gift a soft ball that squicks and the boys opening their psp's and our christmas tree. I mean to tell you ~ we didn't take but 4 pictures this year! ***
