Home Alone

Now we all have visions of the movie and the boy who had to defend his home from the thieves while the family was away. We have left the kiddos home alone and all seems to be going all too well!

They ended their october break the day we left and got to school on time.

They even found time to prepare for their ACT test that weekend.

They hosted our House church which meant that they had to clean the house and fix snacks and have the Lord's supper ready for all to partake.

This week they are getting back to school and studying for their tests.


Dwayne and I are so proud of Kayla and Justin! Each time I start to feel anxious or concerned Dwayne reminds me that we have been preparing them for independence and living on their own so we ought to be proud instead of anxious or worried. I just smile and think, "you're right but MAN I just wish they missed me as much as I miss them :) ".

So I thought I needed to write and just say how very proud we are that they are really handling this time alone.
