casts

It's been a hectic week.....


It all started out normal and then turned upside down really quick.

Kayla was play soccer and hurt her foot. I received a phone call to come and get her. I thought another twisted ankle but NOT... it was really bad. I have never seen swelling like this before and was thinking that it might just be broken. But once we arrived at the hospital the xray showed the bones looked fine it was the ligaments that weren't okay. She had to have an MRI and it showed 2 torn ligaments at the top of her ankle. So she had to have a cast. Not a happy day for her. The christmas banquet is the 9th and she had already been asked, had a dress that was a crushed velvet/blue color and it is pretty on her. She opted for a blue cast just incase she decided to go. But currently she isn't planning on going.

Since the Christmas Banquet is a DANCE ! :) she doesn't want to just be standing around.

anyway, she's in better spirits today and even though she is in quite a bit of pain she is hobbling along. She will have the cast on for 3 weeks and then will have another 4 weeks of no activity. So she's pretty much out of the soccer season.


Justin was going to be running the 3000 in track but then when he arrived the coach totally forgot to add him and so he got up early and went for nothing... Oh did I mention the whole family went too. UGH.. talk about disappointed. I was really disappointed. I even asked Dwayne to go and ask why they forgot him, seeing as though they were the ones who asked him to run! Oh well!

Here's the sad thing... I was trying to make him feel better and was like, Oh honey it's not too bad atleast there's next...... ye... and then I was like, OH< this is your last year! How sad is that! then of course we all felt bad and all gave Justin a group hug..... he loved the extra attention :)

Not much else happening - we hope the rest of the week is uneventful......
