We went for a walk in one of the many national parks. This particular park is a bird reserve. It was so nice and really you couldn't believe how many ducks, geese, and other birds there were.

We are really enjoying this new stage of life but I have to say there are days we really miss our kids. However :) we feel like we are dating all over again.
In the park there are tons of fruit trees and everyone is allowed to pick what has fallen to the ground. They are so good! We also found a couple of pear trees and I plan on trying out a Pear Jam recipe, so get ready Dad Hughes :) I'll send you some!
One fun find was this wood duck. He was all by himself and the park rangers were surprised to hear that he was still here. They said that these ducks should have already flown south.
He was so pretty!
