Volunteer Day

We had a unit harvest party for the families and then after wards they had a scary movie time for the single soldiers. We started the day early to join our unit for "Make a Difference Day".
We divided up and worked in the community to plant tulips and police the area for trash. We had a great time getting know those in our Battalion. It was alot of fun. Here are some pictures.

Oh and Dwayne and dressed up like we were in the 60's he did the hippy thing and I did the go-go's thing. We shocked some of the guys.. :) they thought the Chaplain wouldn't dress up!
Ha we loved getting them!

Okay one more story. So after the weekend first thing monday at PT they lined up and Dwayne was chosen with some other guys for the random drug test. They guys thought it was funny since he we dressed up in the 60's thing! They all loved giving the chaplain a hard time.

Here are some of the guys waiting around to head out to our task!

It was kind of funny because here are these guys planting tulip bulbs...
It was fun! To say the least.
We had this little Korean lady leading the way and she was
reminding the guys how to plant them.

At on point there wasn't enough little shelves so what do the guys do?
They decided a stick would work just fine.
So they break off a limb from a tree..
LOL! you should have seen the face of the little Korean Lady!

Good times had and we had some fun!

Hey we were all smiling so it couldn't have been too bad.

I will post come of our pictures this week..
