We had a great weekend. Dwayne and I took a road trip to Mount Rainer. It is huge and so beautiful even from our home. It reminds us of being back in Lijiang.
The mountain has already gotten about 6 inches of snow and they are expecting more to fall this week. We had a great time. Below we added some of our favorite pictures.
We stopped at one point to take pictures of the amazing scenery. When we did we became aware that we were being pursued by these birds. They began eating out of our hands. It was so cool. After we fed them alot :) we got in the truck and drove up the mountain. It was funny because Dwayne was like, I think they are following us. I kid you not. These birds walked with us to the truck. :) too cool!
As we reached the top of the mountain we stopped to eat our lunch. It wasn't 5 minutes and here come the birds. :) It was so funny! We laughed because we were like, ahhh you found us. :)
We had the windows open and they came and landed on the side mirrors and stood there eating out of our hands. Dwayne at one point got them to come into the car to get the food. I was just sure they were going to get scared and then fly into the car.
I have to say that we have really enjoyed the beauty of our new home. We are reminded daily of what an amazing creator we have in our Lord and Savior! It was such a great weekend. We were able to disconnect from the ministry and just enjoy one another's company. Dwayne constantly reminds me of how nice it is to be able to date again. I can't help but smile :).
