I don't have time to sit and do all the pictures but I wanted to share just a few with you!
Here we are getting ready to head out for our first 13 mile hike. Mind you we thought this was going to be the easiest day. We had traveled all night and arrived in Edinburgh then trained to Glasgow and then bused to our starting location and then headed out.
Rainy and cold we headed out!
The adventure had started.
The trail was clearly marked and it was really a nice trail. We hiked through the little city and headed out to the great unknown!
here is kayla with her pack. Now mind you we had no idea what this trail was really like. All we had read was that this hike was easy to moderate. Now mind you anyone hiking 95 miles has to understand that - that is not easy. But we thought! Heck, we can do this.... or so Kayla tried to reassure me that "we" could do this!
This was just one of the MANY hills we encountered. We started laughing as we continued to see that this first 13 miles was practically uphill the whole way!
But the scenery was AMAZING.... mossy, lush and just beautiful at every single turn....
