Spring Break

It's always fun to have the family all together! Today our last weekend together for a while was spent out in the woods, shooting skeet. We had Dwayne's homemade smoked bbq and had a great time. Lots of good memories. ;)




I have to say - Dwayne really did out do himself the bbq was so good....






Even at 21 and 19 they still love getting out and having some fun with the fam!

I have more pics to post and I'll try to do that later on in the week...

Last but not least.....

It's not family time without eating :)

One of the projects the kids helped with was cleaning the john boat. It was nice outside and everyone just stood around and watched as the boys worked to clean it up. Here Grandma stands and watches.

We had a good time and laughed a lot... Silence!!! I kill you!

Florida

It is always nice when we get to see Dwayne's side of the family. It was a year ago since we last saw them and so it was nice to get to catch up and have some good family time. This year we didn't have our normal long visit due to work schedules but it was nice none the less. Thanks Colleen for putting up with the boys :) and for being such a good hostess! And thanks for saving some of your yummy spinach dip for Kayla and I ~ Definitely a highlight....

Mom H. thanks for all the good cooking - you set the mark high for us girls :) I'm glad you take such good care of the family! It's really a joy to get to come and visit and enjoy just relaxing. I hope you can rest a bit now that the house is quiet.

Dad H. thanks for taking time with the boys to teach them how to be men who can work with their hands. It was fun to see you and Dwayne working and getting to help ya.

And Rich~ thanks for sharing your toys with us. :) The 4 wheeler was fun to ride and I know the kids enjoyed going for rides. Also thanks for always making time for us. I know it is hard to balance work and family- We love ya and appreciate the time you took off for us.

Thanksgiving Day

Here is Kayla and Nick again~ Don't they just look so cute!

Every night leading up to Thanksgiving we had family night. The kids would pile in and my parents would come over and hang out with us. This night my Dad fixed his special hamburger recipe with us... there's the Family secret~ only we really know what the special sign means ;-).

Entertainment changed every single night. I think the first couple of nights we just chatted and caught up with everyone then we started talking about childhood stories. Then we went to xbox360 games.. Guitar Hero~ ROCKS! I love this game..... We all had a good time.
Then Thanksgiving day we enjoyed watching Patriot the movie.

Here we are again just hanging out watching Kayla rock on guitar hero......

Mmmm.... Hamburgers!~ They were SO GOOD!

River guide - Justin Hughes

Justin started work just 3 days after he landed in the states. He finished his Freshman orientation and then started to work. He loved it and I can honestly say he's a great guide. Today we went down with him and we had a great time!
