Peanut Festival 07

November always is marked by 2 things, Peanut Festival and Thanksgiving.

This was the first time that I was able to attend the Peanut Festival. It's been 20 years and I've never once been able to attend for one reason or another. This year however I was determined to go! :)

It was fun!

My mom and dad went with me and we enjoyed watching people, eating corn dogs and elephant ears, going in and seeing the cute little goats and their owners who were at times being dragged by their furry friends. And finally getting to watch the kids get on the rides that once thrilled us once upon a time.

Here is the baby goat who wanted out to protect it's food. The dish in the back ground was being grabbed by another goat and this little guy got out and had a stare down contest at the big fellow in the pin next door. Needless to day, this little guy lost the battle and was picked up and stuffed back into his bucket! ;) They were so cute and tiny!

Here are my parents getting ready to enjoy a greasy corn dog! :) We also enjoyed watching the Crash Derby... you know where the cars race to crash into one another until there is only one car running. It was fun to watch and we laughed and cheered on

On the Road Again

Yes it's that time yet again! Dwayne was home with us for a little while and now he's back on the road. He left this morning for Lynchburg, VA to spend some time with the boys. I sure wish we were traveling together as a family but that wasn't possible. He's heading to some meetings that will start at the end of the week. It won't be too much longer though and he'll be home again.....

Everyone will be home on or about the 16th of November. We will have some great food and lots of fellowship! I can't wait!

Nothing much is happening other than that, Kayla and I both seem to be fighting off some cold stuff and feeling a bit under the weather but we are still going on with our daily routines. Not so bad that we can't get up and move! ;) PTL!

We will be going to Dothan this weekend to attend the Peanut Festival! I can't wait . This will be the first time I've ever been able to go....
